Our Volunteers: Tim Tweedy

Tim TweedyI’m 41 years old and presently living just outside London in Surrey . I worked in Event Management, for over 14 years, during which my drug use overtook me. I eventually went into treatment at The Priory (a residential rehabilitation centre) in Roehampton, summer 2003.

I moved back to England about two years ago after taking time out to live and work in France for 18 months. I did this to clear my head after a messy and scary five-month relapse.

I have just finished a BSc degree in Integrative Counselling, and am looking for work in Counselling field.

I’m single, never having married and spend a lot of my spare time (not much!) reading, writing poetry and just generally spending time on my recovery. I completed the London Marathon 2007 and attend a Therapeutic Group at the Respond Agency in Leatherhead, Surrey . Life’s busy!
